My side of the camera

 

I love how photography allows us to keep our memories and feelings within reach. To have a bridge evoke nostalgia or something as simple as a flower in sunlight provide joy is like a gift from the past. Photography also allows us to see unfamiliar animals, worlds we haven’t known, and people we’ve never met. This is what sparked my interest in photography over twenty years ago and what continues to fuel my passion for photography today.

 

Many years ago, a friend of mine asked if I would take some pictures of her and her son. The idea of photographing people was somewhat intimidating at first; however seeing the bond and connection expressed between loved ones allowed me to experience something I treasure deeply in a whole new way. To this day, getting to know a person or family through the lens is an experience that excites me every time.

 

Photography will always make my heart dance.
